carbonn Cities Climate Registry (cCCR) for Measurable, Reportable, Verifiable Local Climate Action

Local government commitments focus on many areas which impact sustainability, but the cCCR provides a registry for commitments on climate (reduction of CO2 emissions, CO2e emissions, or Carbon Intensity) or energy (increasing use of renewable energy or increasing energy efficiency) both for operations of municipal administrations (government GHG emissions) or for activities of the community that they serve (community GHG emissions). Frontline Cities & Islands

Front-line cities and islands is a movement of mayors and leaders of island economies at the front-line of climate change impacts. Mayors and resilience leaders will work together to champion local action in urban areas to deliver scalable, integrated solutions to rapidly build resilience - on islands and globally. Front-Line is being championed by ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability and the Global Island Partnership, a coalition of international agencies working with islands to promote resilience and sustainable development. Promoting Urban Low Emission Development Strategies

The Urban-LEDS Project, funded by the European Comission, supports development and implementation of urban low emissions development strategies (LEDS) to address climate change in partnership between UN-Habitat and ICLEI. The objective of the Project is to enhance the transition to low emission urban development in four emerging economy countries, Brazil, Indonesia, India and South Africa.
