Updates from Voluntary Commitments
80x7
220x220
Qlik engineers recently partnered with students at a university Hackathon to experiment with collaborative approaches to tackling SDG 14 commitments. The team was tasked with providing an intuitive way to visualize the voluntarily commitment data and to provide a template that Qlik’s CSR team could use for future open-source collaborative projects. The results were amazing. The students lead the design and came up with an intuitive interactive visual representation of the voluntary commitments that linked them to the SDG 14 targets. Students and Qlik engineers then worked for two days implementing the design and brought the application to life. The results are exciting and demonstrate that private sector engineers + students + important cause + open source equals an awesome formula for success that we plan to use again for future projects. To look at the team’s project, go to http://playground.qlik.com/showcase and click “view” under the “UN Oceans Challenge” box. Read more ...
