Recognizing the fundamental role of sustainable energy in achieving almost all of Sustainable Development Goals, from the eradication of poverty through advancements in health, education, water supply and industrialization, to combating climate change, a global preparatory meeting in support of the global review of SDG7 at the 2018 UN High-level Political Forum will be held from 10-12 February 2018 in Hong Kong, China.

This global SDG7 meeting will bring together key stakeholders from Governments, UN system and other international organizations, the private sector, and civil society to engage in a dialogue that emphasized the integrated and cross-cutting nature of sustainable energy and its multiple roles in supporting the achievement of the SDGs.
