Sustainable Development Strategy International Group (SDS)
Description/achievement of initiative

Sustainable Development Strategy International Group (SDS) was founded on the belief that economic growth and environmental sustainability are not merely compatible objectives; their integration is essential for the future of humankind. We work with partners in the public and private sector in developing and emerging countries around the world to put green growth at the heart of economic planning. This foundation made up of 12 sub departments and partners, is known as SDS Int’l Group in Global Communications. SDS Int’l Group, as a member of the UN Global Compact, made the 10 principles of this compact.

Implementation methodologies

Promotion SDGs in local society by following ways :1- Mentioning SDS Commitment to SDGs in all official documents like contracts2- Esteblishing a separate department for SDGs 3- Cooperating with United Nations local office 4- Facilitating UN Global Compact membership for active collaboration5- SDGs event and news published in local independent media

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

1- Cooperation with Iranian research organization for Science and Technology2- Cooperation with Iranian Medical Council 3- Membership in UN Global Compact and UNPRI4- Cooperation with cuttingedge Universities in IRAN5- Cooperation with United Nations office in Iran and WFP

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

As Responsible organization, we have a duty to act in the best long-term interests of our beneficiaries. In this fiduciary role, we believe that SDGs issues can affect the performance of sub Department according to their field of business to gain Sustainable Success . We also recognize that applying these goals may better align interested parties with broader objectives of society. Therefore, where consistent with our fiduciary responsibilities, we commit to the following: We will incorporate SDGs into Organizational analysis and decision-making processes.We will incorporate SDGs into our ownership policies and practices We will seek appropriate disclosure on SDGs by the entities in which we invest or have strategic alliance or partnership We will promote acceptance and implementation of the SDGs within our Supply Chain and Customers. We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the SDGs

Data, monitoring and accountability
17.18 - By 2020, enhance capacity-building support to developing countries, including for least developed countries and small island developing States, to increase significantly the availability of high-quality, timely and reliable data disaggregated by income, gender, age, race, ethnicity, migratory status, disability, geographic location and other characteristics relevant in national contexts
17.19 - By 2030, build on existing initiatives to develop measurements of progress on sustainable development that complement gross domestic product, and support statistical capacity-building in developing countries
