Description/achievement of initiative
Sustainable Week is a private initiative that tackles sustainability in its three dimensions: economical, social and environmental. We aim to contribute to the fulfilment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Sustainable Week will become a meeting point for long career path experts who will evaluate sustainability in Europe and will also present the challenges we will have to confront in the next couple of years.
Implementation methodologies
Sustainable Week will take place from the 27th of April to the 30th of April in Bilbao. Before the event, the Sustainable Week team will be hosting a press conference in Madrid on the 8th of April. The conference: the speakers will introduce their point of views from different industries about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how to reach a better state on sustainability. On April 27, the First International Forum Sustainable Week is celebrated in Bilbao. At the forum, Gema Gómez, Slow Fashion Next’s founder; BC3 Research; Hermeneus and Agronautas will take part as speakers.Other platforms to achieve SDGs: our web (sustainableweek.com), using the social media we are spreading the UN Sustainable Development Goals as much as we can, trying to raise awareness of this important issue.
Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer
Sustainable Week is an initiative open to citizen participation. Our goal is to provide technology and channels necessary to raise awareness on Sustainable Development.
Coordination mechanisms/governance structure
The Sustainable Week team will govern Sustainable Week.
