The Scottish Government seeks to facilitate the right infrastructure and investment to stimulate sustainable growth and exploit new market opportunities. Scotland is committed to ambitious statutory targets for emissions reduction. The Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009 places a duty on all of the public sector in Scotland to support the delivery of the Scottish Government's emissions reduction targets and to make the required adjustments to adapt to climate change.
