The AFRICAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE PARTNER PROGRAM
Description/achievement of initiative

The African Cultural Exchange's Partner Program aims to promote the grassroots development work of Partner Organizations in Africa through information dissemination of the partner's work, through placement of technical and other volunteers with the organization and through direct financial support to the organizations for their locally conceived cross-cultural, developmental, educational or health care initiatives .

Implementation methodologies

This partner program will be conducted by identifying, vetting and promoting Partner Organizations with locally developed projects to The African Cultural Exchange's network of volunteers and sponsors. Volunteers will provide technical and other physical support and sponsors will provide financial support to the Partner Organization.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

The African Cultural Exchange will evaluate each Partner Organization in the Partner Program to assess their current organizational state. PO's are then provided assistance and current level training materials to assist with development of policies, structures and methods of organizational and revenue management. The ACE and specific technical/expert volunteers will work with the PO's to strengthen the endogenous organization's capabilities.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

Partner Organizations identify a set of locally generated goals and The African Cultural Exchange along with the Partner Organizations will agree to promote these goals through their respective networks. The African Cultural Exchange's regional/country coordinators communicate with and visit the PO to evaluate the organization's adherence to and accomplishment of its goals. Reports from outside volunteers will also be utilized to evaluate adherence and achievement of goals.
