Global Partnership with AIESEC for Youth Engagement and Entrepreneurship
Description/achievement of initiative

The partnership between UNIDO and AIESEC seeks to effectively increase youth’s meaningful engagement in achieving the 2030 Agenda through (1) skills development, (2) promotion of youth-led entrepreneurship, and (3) joint outreach. This partnership builds on the mutual recognition of youth’s unmatched potential as innovative and driven agents of change towards achieving inclusive and sustainable development.

Implementation methodologies

Amongst other things, the partnership foresees the development of a strategy to improve the engagement of youth as beneficiaries but also as a support mechanism within the framework of youth-targeted projects. Furthermore, the partnership will allow the creation of a global pool of trainers who will receive training on UNIDO’s entrepreneurship toolkit “Start & Grow” through the AIESEC Global Entrepreneurs program. Through this partnership, direct and indirect support can be provided to over 80,000 youth, through AIESEC’s network with 70,000 members in 126 countries and territories, over one million alumni, and engaging with 2,400 universities, which are committed to contributing and achieving the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
