UCL Engineering for International Development hub
Description/achievement of initiative

UCL Engineering for International Development aims to promote sustainability and the development of disadvantaged communities by providing international projects for students to participate in, as well as cross border knowledge sharing. This consequently raises awareness of the need for technical experts and driven professionals to help create a more sustainable world and the role they can play in helping to improve the lives of others whose basic needs are not sufficiently met. These opportunities also help our future generations and change makers remain conscious of these needs and how their skills can be transferred into achieving them.

Implementation methodologies

UCL EfID seeks reputable partners across the globe to collaborate with and create projects for students to travel overseas and work on. We also manage the full project lifecycle with students from advertising opportunities through to post project reviews. EfID provides financial funding for students, along with contributions from the partner.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

Blogs, videos, seminars, pre/post travel training and workshops e.g pitching and presenting your experience, cultural awareness.
