2030 Agenda Ambassadors Program
Description

The 2030 Agenda Ambassadors Program aims to contribute with the relevant and informed participation of youth organizations in the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda at the local level is the objective that we want to achieve. Currently, the conversations and processes around the 2030 Agenda have taken a direction at national or international levels, often leaving aside the transition process and involving local actors in the process of sensitizing, implementing and monitoring the 2030 Agenda. what grassroots youth organizations become potential actors to mobilize actions in the territories and involve people, government and social actors at the local level in the success of the 2030 Agenda. Likewise, we want to address the interaction between youth organizations with others local actors since many times we youths are seen as a large mass, beneficiaries or a sector to advertise, but not necessarily as relevant allies that we can be prepared to contribute efficiently and relevant to these processes. In this way, preparing youths and providing them with tools and spaces for action, we not only position organizations, but also contribute to the intergenerational transition process necessary for the success of the 2030 Agenda.
The 10 months program includes the following 6 stages:
1. Call and selection: call through databases and allied organizations through social networks aimed at youth organizations with two or more years of actions in territory located in LAC.
2. Training: For one month and 2 weeks, the selected organizations must participate in 5 virtual training sessions evaluated where they will learn about the scope of the 2030 Agenda and cross-cutting themes such as gender equality, climate change, Human rights and peacebuilding and the importance of civil society participation for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The sessions are facilitated by experts from allied organizations such as ECLAC and other UN agencies
3. Implementation: The organizations intervene in their territories developing the following activities taking into account their approach (an environmental organization will focus more on the CC area). A virtual box with 100 tools is provided for the implementation of your activities.) School 2030: Facilitating the educational material on SDGs of the largest lesson in the world in local schools. b) 2030 Community: interventions in public spaces such as squares, parks, markets and others to sensitize the general population about the 2030 Agenda, c) Conferences and workshops: These activities take place within the framework of the week of action for the SDGs.) My World 2030 Survey: Facilitating the survey promoted by the Action Campaign for the United Nations SDGs that allows local monitoring of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
4. Systematization : Organizations report their activities, this allows us to document activities and identify indicators in the implementation process.
5. Certification and final report: Members of the participating organizations receive two certificates, one for completion of the training and for carrying out activities in the territory. Organizations receive recognition for successfully completing the program.
