The project of Resource center for charity development "Good Kazan" started four years ago and during this time has actually become a brand project for the city. Today, "Good Kazan" is one of the priority directions of the city's development. The project brings together charitable foundations, socially oriented companies, the business community, municipal authorities, city residents and the media.The project provides the implementation of the following key areas:
1. Development of charity culture. The project “Good Food Truck” provides hot meals to the vulnerable groups, works 6 days a week in several points of the city. The Forum “Good Kazan: Charity. Experience of Regions” annually brings together more than 100 representatives from 35 cities of Russia and serves as a platform for exchanging experience in regional practices of charity development. Within the framework of the “Good Kazan” project, it is possible to protect the rights of people who are in a difficult life situation via the system of free legal assistance. One of the latest developments of “Good Kazan” is a smartphone app called Dobro, which allows to use “dobro-likes” to pay in some institutions of the city.
2. Development of the sector of philanthropy. “Good Kazan” selects successful practices of non-profit organizations in the city, holds thematic round tables with discussion of solutions to social problems, promotes participation of heads of charitable organizations in all-Russian conferences and thematic events, and organises the forum “Good Kazan: Charity. Regional experience”, aimed at presenting the best regional practices.
3. Support for charitable initiatives. In this direction, “ Good Kazan” acts as a single window of interaction with municipal authorities, helping organizations and volunteers to implement projects on the territory of municipal institutions, parks and squares of the city, providing information coverage, attracting partners; resources, and marketing. Within this direction, more than 20 projects of non-profit organizations and volunteer associations of the city were implemented.
4. Improving the competence of employees of socially oriented non-profit organizations. Educational events are regularly held with the participation of experts and speakers from various fields. The topics are aimed at improving the effectiveness of the number and quality of projects implemented by charitable foundations and volunteer associations of the city of Kazan.

The number of residents of the city who participate in some form of charitable activity has reached 74%. During the existence of the "Diary of good deeds" project, 45,000 diaries were awarded. This year, more than 17,000 first-graders received the Diary of Good Deeds. 35 basic platforms for inclusive education have been created in Kazan, where 642 pre-school children are brought up and 255 children are trained. Charity warehouse “Good Hands”. Kazan City Municipality allocated on a free basis 3 spaces for receiving clothing, which allowed to transfer clothing assistance to 8,000 people and increase the number of people passing clothes to 20 thousand people. The project “Good Food Truck”. During the implementation of the project, volunteers and restaurants of the city distributed more than 20,000 portions of hot food for people in need. More than 1,500 people from 45 cities of Russia and the world took part in the forum “Good Kazan” to exchange experience of regional practices of charity development. More than 27 million RUB were collected by Kazan schoolchildren at citywide charity fairs. More than 1,000 children from 11 cities of Russia took part in the festival of children's creativity "Good Wave", which unites children regardless of their health and life conditions.
