MEBT Doctor training in MENA
Description

As a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), MEBO International has been organizing UNAI Global Regenerative Medicine and Wound Repair Workshops since 2017. To date, nearly 5,000 medical professionals in the MENA area, Mongolia, the Philippines, Indonesia and other countries and regions have attended this training.
In the MENA area, in addition to the above global training programs, there are also other training programs organized by local organizations, in purpose of arise the awareness of application of MEBT/MEBO and basic burn and wound management for local medical staff. Overall, there are over 3,000 medical professionals and staff attending MEBT training each year in various channels, and totally amounts to over 30,000 in the past decade.

In early 2020, Covid-19 spreads and threats the whole world and more than half million deaths were directly caused by the lethal virus. During the online training course of MEBT/MEBO in Asia and MENA area, MEBT/MEBO has been proved and applied for the treatment of skin lesion, chronic wounds, diabetic foot toes and frostbite and local professions rapidly shared the experience on different platforms.

To further spread the knowledge of MEBT/MEBO in MENA, to support the targeted medical staff in the MENA region (especially the low economic countries like Ethiopia and South Sudan) during the special period of Covid-19, MEBO International is kicking off the Moist Exposed Burn Therapy Training Initiative as following:

Expected impact

Objective: In order to further enhance wound management and improve overall health of people in the Middle East, also benefit the COVID-19 patients suffering from skin lesion and frostbite, MEBO International proposes to launch a MEBT training program in the Middle East and North Africa area aimed at providing standard training course for 1000 medical doctors within 2 years.
