Common Digital Skills Framework
Description

The Common Digital Skills Framework builds the foundation of a digital enabled workforce that develops the right skills to address the challenges of digital transformation across all industries in Qatar. The project develops a unique Digital Skills Framework that is tailored to the individual requirements in Qatar's workforce, industry sectors and prevalent technologies. By providing a structured framework on digital and digital-enabling skills, organizations and individuals alike can steer their up- and re-skilling efforts over the next years and ensure a productive workforce that meets the fast changing demand of digital skills.

Expected impact

The objective of the Common Digital Skills Framework is to provide establish a national standard (common language) for digital skills and allow for certifications of individuals on their level of digital skills that can be leveraged across different sectors and job positions. Thereby, the Common Digital Skills Framework can be used to develop policies around the skill needs and upskilling efforts of Qatar's entire workforce and facilitate the allocation of individuals to trainings. Furthermore, it allows organizations to easily match with the right talents needed in their specific sectors and increases the chance of employment as well as labor market mobility for all individuals in Qatar.
