General Education Network for SDGs
Description/achievement of initiative

This initiative is to popularize natural science, environmental protection, sustainable development goals and sustainable development education by using Internet and VR technology and establishing the sustainable development goals general education network in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Changsha, Chongqing, Qingdao, Hainan, Yunnan and other places in China, so as to help people, especially young people, establish the awareness of sustainable development and enhance the learning ability of sustainable development and promote the implementation of 2030 sustainable development goals through quality education.

Implementation methodologies

At present, we have developed 9 modules, including the general course of sustainable development goals, the children's enlightenment Course of sustainable development goals, ecological civilization and sustainable development goals, community design thinking and sustainable development goals, earth science and sustainable development goals, rocket exploration, marine virtual reality, space breeding science popularization, and about 70 courses learned through online or VR. This initiative will be implemented by:\\r\\n\\r\\n1. Online live course: relying on the e-learning platform of The Hu+ Project, one of the sponsors, to open live courses and popularize the proposed courses.\\r\\n\\r\\n2. Learning network construction: we will set up the sustainable development goal learning community in primary and secondary schools to promote and popularize this initiative project.\\r\\n\\r\\n3. Establishing learning experience center: relying on AR / VR technology, we will establish AR / VR learning experience center for sustainable development goals in key cities, and set up second classroom to promote project implementation.\\r\\n\\r\\n4. Teacher training: training teachers to use online resources to organize online teaching and promote students' learning.\\r\\n\\r\\n5. Knowledge competition: holding sustainable development goal knowledge competition or learning achievement display to promote this initiative projects.\\r\\n\\r\\n6. Carrying out online test of learning content, testing learning results and issuing learning certificates.

Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer

For this initiative, we will assess the learning achievements in the form of course participation, homework and comprehensive evaluation, so as to ensure the students' understanding and mastery of the learning content and build a sustainable learning ability.

Coordination mechanisms/governance structure

This initiative is based on the online public welfare classroom of "mother earth is sick" which covers about 50,000 classes and more than 1.5 million students in 2020. It is co sponsored by Shenzhen Leka Education Technology Ltd., Qingdao VR-Linking Technology Ltd., Hainan Glow Art Ltd., The Hu+ Project etc. and intends to let more people learn, understand and practice sustainable development through technical means. We will set up a project working committee to coordinate all aspects of the work and ensure the smooth implementation of the initiative.
