Think Tank AlterContacts is preparing an Encyclopedia on Sustainable Living in the Post-Pandemic World. It is based on unique practices and lessons collected from certified experts worldwide. The goal is to bring knowledge and guidance to people from all backgrounds that would allow them to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives. The themes of the Encyclopedia include Eating and Recipes; Fitness; Daily Habits; Inner Harmony; Positive Communication. The Encyclopedia cannot be used as medical advice. It is meant as an alternative opinion on sustainable and healthy living. \r\nThe main coordinator of the initiative is the Think Tank AlterContacts. It is responsible for developing the practices and guidebooks; onboarding, training and leading the volunteers; and communicating the progress of the initiative. It plays the role of a connector among various partners, such as local and regional NGOs, medical networks, schools and universities. The writing is done with the help of United Nations Volunteers. Each Online Volunteer works remotely on articles in the format given by the think tank. The core content for every article is provided by the think tank experts during a video call. Writing is done independently by each volunteer. Editing is done by the think tank coordinator.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us physically and mentally. It is more important than ever to share knowledge that can improve the quality of living and practice Sustainable Development Goals daily. The approach is based on eliminating things we do not need and making our life more sustainable. The key element that we bring is knowledge and guidance. Knowledge about healthy and sustainable practices that can be easily implemented. We hope to provide all beneficiaries with the toolkit to a healthy diet, mental health, and fitness. The Encyclopedia will be accessible to people from all walks of life. The proposed practices build on the current habits of people, offering subtle but impactful improvements. That will ensure that they continue to follow their new way of living. Once the Encyclopedia is complete in English, it will be translated into Spanish and other languages, providing access to knowledge to people worldwide.
