Goal 7
2015
Philips supports the UN Sustainable Energy for All initiative (SE4ALL) and its underlying goals to ensure universal access to modern energy services, double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency, and double the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix. In support of the initiative, Philips is dedicated to improving the energy efficiency of its entire product and solutions portfolio by 50% in 2015 (compared to 2009). In addition, Philips will continue to develop solutions which contribute to the ambitions of SE4ALL, by developing more off-grid (solar-LED) lighting solutions - for cities, homes and buildings - and for clean smokefree cooking, as well as by continuing to increase share of renewables in the global energy mix used in the company's operations and supply chain.
