Achievement at a glance
The Partnership's core team organized the translation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into Ukrainian language, promoted the SDGs on the Partnership's website and social media. A training on SDGs was organized and conducted in Lviv, Ukraine, for youth, including vulnerable youth (internally displaced persons from the war-impacted regions of Ukraine).
Challenges faced in implementation
In early 2016 the Partnership was expanded to include over 10 organizations and continues growing. The Partnership's core team is building the network of mentors. During 2016, the Partnership will facilitate the designing of 10 Action plans to achieve SDGs at community level, it is expected that 7-10 pilot communities will qualify to join the Incubator for Green Communities.
Youth, including vulnerable youth (IDPs from war-impacted regions of Ukraine); General public
During the training “Sustainable Development Goals. Teamwork. Activism" twenty high school students from Lviv, Sambir, Donetsk, Makiivka, Luhansk and Antratsyt met together and created teams to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The practical part of the training was designed to promote the understanding of Sustainable Development Goals and the related indicators that were adopted by the United Nations on September 25, 2015. With the motto "think globally, act locally", the participants developed and presented local action plans for each of the 17 Goals. After hearing the proposals, the participants chose the best ideas to improve and implement together during the coming months. More at: http://en.greenqb.org/2016/02/training-lviv.html
