Description/achievement of initiative
Commissioned by the German Education Department South Tyrol, we educated the 65 didactic system tutors responsible for German schools in interconnected thinking and the application of ecopolicy during school classes
Implementation methodologies
The plan is now to equip the majority of the 10.0000 computers in German schools with ecopolicy. The didactic system tutors will serve as multiplicators and support their schools and colleagues with didactic initiatives, applying digital technology in all three grades from primary to high school in different classes.
Arrangements for Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer
In a next step, an even bigger project is scheduled to be conducted at reference schools in fall 2016, focusing on educating teachers in ecopolicy and SensiMod. We have been developing this concept together with the German Education Authority Bozen (South Tyrol) and our cooperation partner EURAC.
Coordination mechanisms/governance structure
The Innovation and Counsel department has offered three workshops within the framework of the spring meeting of the didactic system tutors. 20-25 experienced educators were introduced to the game and were able to try ecopolicy on their own laptops, followed by a lively discussion which was met with high interest.
