Working Groups: Annual Sustainable Development Conference (& annual meeting of the SDKP)

Goal

The partnership members would meet once a year in New York at the time of CSD (early May). The meetings would cover the following items:

• To take stock on the status of the partnership’s work program and activities, discuss future work, and agree on issues specific to the network’s functioning
• To provide an occasion for the sustainable development community to take stock of the current state of thinking and applied research, and think about strategic directions in which the sustainable development research community could further its work and how it could improve its visibility and policy impact
• To provide an opportunity for direct interaction with high-level politicians gathered for CSD, as well as Major Groups. The annual meeting will be organized during CSD so as to benefit from the concentration of high-level politicians attending CSD discussions. One day of the meeting would be reserved for interactions through round tables, panels, etc...
