The STI Forum was created with an explicit focus on the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda. A recurring event that brings together the science, technology and innovation communities each year, it will inform high-level review of progress on the SDGs at the high-level political forum. This discussion will focus on how the forum could succeed in this endeavor. What features would make the forum different from other technology fora within and outside UN? Beyond policy makers, how can the forum create real incentives for participation of innovators and entrepreneurs? What preparatory steps would support an informed and productive dialogue at the Forum? How can continuity be built from one forum to the next?
